What are my outgoing (smtp) mail server settings? Can I use them while travelling? For outgoing (smtp) mail server, you can use mail.yourdomain.com (change to your domain name of course)
If you are in a location that may be block this smtp port (standard is port 25), you can try the directions here:
http://forums.alwayswebhosting.com/showthread.php?t=1608
Which basically says you can try using port 26 instead of port 25, and see if that works. Or, you can use the outgoing smtp server for the ISP you are connected through while traveling.
Honestly, I would say the easiest of all is to just use "webmail" while you are traveling. You can go to http://yourdomain.com/webmail (change to your domain name of course) and login with your full email address and its password. Then you can go into either webmail interface and send mail via the web-based system, much like a yahoo or hotmail. No headaches dealing with SMTP server settings that way :)
